Biography
I joined Menlo’s faculty in the summer of 1999, and in my time here I have been a college counselor and AP Government teacher, then the Upper School’s Academic Dean, and now I am Upper School Director and occasional teacher of US History to sophomores.
After receiving my BA in history from Williams College in 1987, I worked in politics and government before starting my teaching career at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans in 1992. Over the course of my time there, I taught history to sixth, eighth, ninth, tenth and twelfth graders. I also coached tennis, cross country and basketball. Immediately prior to coming to Menlo, I received Master’s degrees in American History and in Education from Stanford in 1999.
I live in Menlo Park with my wife and two daughters and am an avid tennis player.
