FACTS:
AN INDEPENDENT, COEDUCATIONAL, COLLEGE-PREPARATORY SCHOOL

Grades 6-12

Established in 1915, Menlo School offers a rigorous, engaging academic curriculum complemented by outstanding fine arts and athletics programs. Through the support of dedicated and talented teachers, students are encouraged to reach their fullest potential. Classes are small (16 to 18) across grade levels, and students participate in hands-on, active learning. Menlo School values open communication with parents and strives to create an environment where both students and families feel connected to the school community.

As a demanding college preparatory school that emphasizes excellence not only in academics, but also in the arts and in athletics, Menlo School seeks to attract and enroll motivated students who are secure in their academic skills and who will contribute to the rich fabric of the school community.

At the heart of the program is an extraordinarily talented and dedicated group of teachers who are both passionate about learning and deeply committed to the success of every child in the school.

Middle School

SERVING 233 STUDENTS IN GRADES 6–8

The Middle School provides students with an engaging and rigorous academic experience in a nurturing community. We offer small classes, an integrated and interdisciplinary curriculum, and a broad range of athletic and extracurricular activities.

In and out of the classroom, students are encouraged to contribute to the School community and develop strong values and confidence in themselves.

Upper School

SERVING 562 STUDENTS IN GRADES 9–12

Designed to challenge all students to reach their full potential, the Upper School program provides a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, complemented by strong fine arts and athletic offerings.

The scope and sequence of the academic program provide students with an outstanding education in the arts, humanities, sciences, and mathematics, and encourages them to become critical thinkers and independent learners.

Diversity Statement

Menlo School is committed to being a heterogeneous and inclusive community. We believe students are better educated and prepared to succeed when the School community—students, families, faculty, administration and staff—is diverse and inclusive. Diversity benefits the entire community by providing a wider range of perspectives and experiences. We embrace a broad definition of diversity: a community comprised of people with different racial, cultural, economic and religious backgrounds. In addition, we support students with a wide variety of interests, talents, personalities and politics.
