Visual Arts

The Studio Art program emphasizes process and creative thinking over product. Students are encouraged to understand their own mode of perception of the world around them and identify their own passions for specific media:

  • Expressive or Representational Drawing
  • Figure Drawing with professional art models
  • Portraiture
  • Painting
  • Printmaking
  • Sculpture
  • Ceramics
  • Collage

Field trips to museums, galleries and artist studios and visits from guest artists expose students to the creative world.

Menlo School art alumni have gone on to study at the following schools:

  • Art Center College of Design
  • California College of Art
