Music@Menlo

Music@Menlo, the San Francisco Peninsula’s premier chamber music festival, began in the summer of 2002 on the Menlo School campus. The Music@Menlo atmosphere is a festive and celebratory one, with endless opportunities to explore great music, form new friendships, and become part of a stimulating festival community.

The program is coordinated by Music@Menlo’s Artistic Directors, David Finckel (cellist of the Grammy Award-winning Emerson String Quartet) and concert pianist Wu Han, both of whom also serve as the Artistic Directors of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.

Music@Menlo fosters a deep commitment to the arts in education. This commitment emerges in its workshops, young performers concerts, Encounters (an innovative series of symposiums), and emphasis on multidisciplinary approaches to understanding chamber music. For such a multi-faceted festival atmosphere, Menlo School provides the perfect setting.
