Health and Wellness at Menlo School supports and promotes the mental, physical, emotional and social well-being of all members of our community. Through a collaborative approach encompassing students, parents, faculty, staff and administration, we will:
• Cultivate a campus environment which supports a healthy lifestyle and encourages all members to engage in an ongoing commitment to caring for oneself and for one another.
• Offer programs and services that increase health and wellness awareness, emphasize prevention, and promote healthy behavior.
• Disseminate current and accurate information on personal and community health issues.
• Provide tools and resources so that each individual can work towards their own personal health and wellness goals and perform to the best of their ability to ensure quality of life.
The MSA is thrilled to develop an ongoing Health and Wellness Initiative for the Menlo Community. This program will encompass the insights and strengths of past and existing programs. The goal of this effort is to collectively embrace and support our current emphasis on health and wellness and continue to honor the themes that are pivotal to the well being of this community. Providing a more focused program will provide a stable foundation for the overall physical and mental health of the students.
Information and action will be communicated in a variety of forms, addressing valuable topics and prevention techniques for stress, sleep, nutrition and substance abuse. Through such vehicles as our dedicated website, student advocacy, expert speakers, and regular articles in the
Coat of Arms, will strive to provide a support network and promote healthy living for our students and their families.
