Gifts of Securities Gift of securities are encouraged. In most cases an outright gift of appreciated securities entitles the donor to an income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities. If you wish to transfer stock or other securities to Menlo, please complete the Stock Gift Form.

Gifts in Kind Gifts of personal property are accepted if they can serve a worthwhile purpose in the life of the school. A description of the item donated is provided to the donor by the Development Office. However, the donor must determine the value of the item for tax purposes.
