The Admissions Team is eager to help you learn about Menlo and assist you throughout the application process. We look forward to sharing information about our program and providing a look at our beautiful campus. As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, our admission events will take place both in-person and virtually.

Our events for the 2021-2022 application season are described below. Please explore our offerings and visit the Ravenna events section to learn more. We are eager to share our enthusiasm for the Menlo community and to partner with you as you explore schools.

Hosted by a member of the Admissions team in small groups, parent information sessions take place from September to December. These forty-five-minute virtual meetings are a great opportunity for prospective parents to learn more about Menlo’s academic and extracurricular programs, as well as the Menlo parent experience. We will include a Q&A as part of each session.

Virtual Middle School Preview Day Program
Menlo will host a Virtual Middle School Preview Day program on September 25, 2021. Our Virtual Preview Day allows applicants to hear from students, teachers, and administrators while learning more about our challenging, engaging, and joyful community. The Virtual Preview Day is a great way to receive a comprehensive overview of our school and values.

Virtual Middle School Group Activity/Interviews
While we are unable to host student applicants for an in-person classroom visit in 2021, our Virtual Middle School Group Activity is an opportunity for us to meet and get to know your student. Students will participate in a fun online activity with a member of the Admission Team!  To register for a Virtual Middle School Group Activity session, please visit Ravenna.

Middle School Campus Tours
Our campus tours provide families an opportunity to see our beautiful facilities. Middle School Campus Tours will be given by our Menlo parents and students. They are a wonderful way to hear about our program through the experiences of our Menlo families. To register for a campus tour, please visit Ravenna.

In conjunction with our Office of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI), we are proud to offer affinity spaces for applicant families to learn more about Menlo from current students, parents, and school leaders. We encourage all families to attend one of our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Town Halls this fall. Our Middle School EDI Town Hall will take place on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 and our Upper School EDI Town Hall will take place on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

Upper School Preview Days
Menlo invites you to join us for one of our fall weekend Preview Days. You will have the opportunity to hear from our Head of School, Upper School Director, and also have an opportunity to meet some of our faculty. You will also enjoy a tour, meet coaches, Creative Arts teachers, parents and students, and representatives from our Student Life program. Preview Day is a great way to get a glimpse of the magic that defines the Menlo community.

Virtual Parent and Student Interviews
An interview is a required part of our application. During the 2021-2022 application season, we will be conducting all interviews using Zoom and scheduled through Ravenna. The interview will have two parts: the first will be a conversation between the student and a member of the Menlo Admissions Team. During the second part, the Admissions Team member will invite the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) to join. The interview is a casual get-to-know-you conversation and a time for applicants and their families to ask questions about Menlo. We estimate that the interview will run about 40 minutes.Young alumni return to Menlo School to speak about their transition to college. Photo by Pete Ziv...
