Sixth Grade Flag Football

The sixth grade flag football team plays in the West Bay Athletic League. Games are played with nine players on each side of the field. Sixth-graders will learn the basics of the game, and will also participate in games vs other schools after school. Practices are during physical education class. The sport is a version of regular football where players do not wear pads or tackle.

VA Flag Football

The VA flag football teams play in the West Bay Athletic League. This is our strongest team mainly comprised of eighth graders, Games are played after school vs other VA teams. Students will work on plays, strategies, and skills related to flag football. Games are played after school vs other schools. Practices are during physical education class. The sport is a version of regular football where players do not wear pads or tackle.

A Note about Transportation to Games

Menlo will provide round-trip transportation for all away games that begin at or before 5:00 pm. This does not include Sacred Heart School. If students need transportation to an away game that starts after 5:00 pm, please contact your coach for assistance. Please try to inform the coach in advance if you plan to pick up your child at the game. If you want to have someone else drive your child home, you need to inform the coach in writing—by text, e-mail, or note—in advance.
