Strength & Speed Training - Summer

Menlo School features an open/drop-in strength and speed training program for all of the school’s students in a safe and fun atmosphere.

The training program supports and complements the competitive demands of Menlo Athletics. Among the program goals:  Core training and conditioning development with ranking of individual improvement and growth, as well as proficient use of Olympic weight training. 

Program experience for athletes

  • Progressive core training of abdominals, lower back, and hips
  • Ground-based free-weight training with a focus on functional strength and power development
  • Olympic weight training
  • Introduction to acceleration/change-of-direction training
