Strength & Speed Training - Summer

Menlo School features an open/drop-in strength and speed training program for all of the school’s students in a safe and fun atmosphere.

The training program supports and compliments the competitive demands of Menlo Athletics. Among the program goals:  Core training and conditioning development with ranking of individual improvement and growth, as well as proficient use of Olympic weight training. 

Program experience for athletes
  • Progressive core training of abdominals, lower back, and hips
  • Ground-based free-weight training with a focus on functional strength and power development
  • Olympic weight training
  • Introduction to acceleration/change-of-direction training

Monday-Thursday with “Open Room” Fridays 10:00 am-noon

Weekly schedule
Monday through Thursday
6:00 am-7:15 am
8:00 am-9:30 am
10:00 am-11: 30am

Summer Football training
Monday through Thursday 3:15-4:30 pm (weeks 1, 2, 5, 6) 

Special evening schedule
Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00-7:30pm
