About the Coach

Tom Hitchcock
(third season)

Hitchcock took over the boys’ golf program in 2016 after serving as assistant coach for both the boys’ and girls’ programs for the past four years. Hitchcock, who is Menlo’s Director of Security, counts working with the students on the mechanical and mental sides of golf as one of the most enjoyable parts of his job. Hitchcock played Amateur and Senior Amateur tournament golf. Playing and associating with some of the nation’s top amateur players gave Hitchcock invaluable knowledge on tournament play at the highest levels. Also a 39-year police department veteran, Hitchcock served as the Chief of Police for the cities of Brisbane and Millbrae for 22 years.
