THE NEWS BULLETIN ARTICLES WE ARE READING
   From the Director
Iknow I speak for the entire College Counseling team when I say it’s been such a privilege to work with and guide the Class of 2019 through the college process. As we look back, we have been so impressed with how supportive the students have been of one another. We’ve seen the Class
of 2019 display the utmost respect, care, and privacy for each other in
this process and that resulted in a happier and refreshingly balanced senior year. The 137 members of this class will leave Menlo and head to 77 different colleges and universities around the world, which is the highest number of institutions we have had represented in over 15 years. We are incredibly proud of the seniors this year for the way they approached this process and for how they stayed focused on finding their best match for college. A spring article in the Chicago Tribune by Heidi Stevens reminded students that, “College doesn’t define you. College shapes you. College takes the high school you and molds it into a grown-up you. But the key component there is you. Your ideas. Your work. Your voice. You bring all of those things to college, and college helps you figure out what to do with them.” Congratulations, Class of 2019, your voice and your ideas are ready to be heard!
