Menlo Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

Thirteen members of Menlo School’s Class of 2016 have been named Merit Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Program.

These students will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,600 National Merit Scholarship awards, worth about $33 million, that will be offered next spring.

Semifinalists now must fulfill several requirements to advance to Finalist standing. About 90 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and more than half of the finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title.
