In the Head of School’s office, carpet and cabinets will be installed, and that section of Stent will undergo final inspections. This week, there will be some minor soil excavation and dirt off-haul for the new Technology Center as well as some mobilizing work for the below grade shoring wall. Concrete demolition around the site and in the basement of Stent Hall continues this week. It may be noisy at times as this includes concrete chipping, jackhammering, and the use of equipment to stockpile concrete. Removal of the exterior of Stent Hall is also ongoing. Underground utility tie-in and re-routing also continue at the Technology Center. On Oct. 14, from 2:45 pm through 9:00 pm, the fire sprinklers in the Creative Arts building will be turned off for four to six hours as part of this work. During this time, the entire CADC will be closed to everyone due to fire code restrictions. Lastly, flooring, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and cleaning work is also ongoing this week to complete the Head of School office.
