Behind Joe Foley’s 40 points, the Menlo boys’ basketball team defeated Eastside Prep 65-49 in a West Bay Athletic League game Friday on the road.
The Knights (2-0 league, 5-4 overall) bolted out of the gates with a 25-point first quarter then led 33-23 by the half.
Foley, a junior guard, sank four of six three-point shots and made 10 off 11 free throws. He added five rebounds.
Junior Riley Woodson had a team-high eight rebounds while junior Thomas Brown scored seven and grabbed five more rebounds. Senior Hayden Pegley had three steals and a pair of assists.
Menlo next plays The King’s Academy in Sunnyvale on Tuesday night.
