Construction Updates for April 2017

April news and updates about Menlo’s center of campus construction project.

April 24

At Stent Family Hall, ongoing work includes the retaining wall rebar, formwork, and concrete pour. In the kitchen and first floor, drywall work, ceiling tile and electrical lighting installations, and mechanical equipment and prep for kitchen flooring installations have begun. The Technology Center work continues with the upper-level slab concrete pour as well as roof decking. Please note that the paths between the Dance Studio and the Stent Hall construction site as well as the area between College Counseling and the construction site will remain closed until the first week of May.

 

April 17

At the Stent Family Hall expansion site, the retaining wall rebar and concrete work are ongoing as is edge-of-slab work on the second and third levels. In the Stent kitchen, work includes the drywall, ceiling grid layout, and installations of the mechanical duct, plumbing pipe, electrical conduit, and kitchen equipment. At the Technology Center, the metal decking installation and the edge-of-slab work also continue. Please note that the paths between the Dance Studio and the Stent Hall construction site as well as the area between College Counseling and the construction site will remain closed until the first week of May.

 

April 3

At Stent Family Hall, site grading continues as does work for the underground utilities and retaining wall footings. Ongoing work for the new kitchen includes installations of the kitchen equipment, metal stud framing, mechanical duct, plumbing and fire sprinkler pipe, electrical conduit, and drywall. At both Stent and the Technology Center, the ongoing metal decking installation and steel welding may cause some noise disruptions. Please note that the paths between the Dance Studio and the Stent Hall construction site as well as the area between College Counseling and the construction site will be closed until April 10.
