Construction Updates for May 2017

May news and updates about Menlo’s center of campus construction project.

May 30

At Stent Family Hall, ongoing work includes the exterior lath and plaster as well as exterior framing and concrete retaining wall formwork. For the kitchen, wall panel installation continues as does mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. On the first floor, restrooms will be painted and fire alarms will be installed this week. Interior framing for the second and third floors also continues. At the Technology Center, ongoing work includes the roofing installation, fire sprinkler pipe rough-in, exterior framing at the upper level, interior framing at the lower level, stair work, and site grading.

 

May 22

As part of the Stent Family Hall expansion, they’ve been installing windows and have begun the exterior lath and plaster work. The exterior framing and concrete retaining wall formwork also continue. In the new kitchen, wall panel installation is ongoing as is mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. They are painting the first-floor restroom and will install fire alarms this week. Drywall work for the second floor and interior framing for the second and third floors is also ongoing. At the Technology Center, work continues with the roofing installation, fire sprinkler pipe rough-in, exterior framing at the upper level, interior framing at the lower level, stair work, and site grading.

 

May 15

At Stent Family Hall, ongoing work includes the exterior window installation, exterior framing, and concrete retaining wall formwork. On the first floor, drywall, electrical lighting, plumbing and mechanical installations continue. In the kitchen, they are also installing epoxy flooring and wall panels. Second and third-floor work includes interior framing, drywall, and light gauge framing. The work on the new Technology Center continues with exterior framing for the upper level, interior framing, electrical and plumbing rough-in, and elevator mobilization.

 

May 8

At Stent Family Hall, work continues with the exterior framing and wall insulation. Epoxy flooring will be installed in the kitchen, and other ongoing projects include drywall, electrical lighting, plumbing and mechanical installations, as well as interior framing and fireproofing for the second floor of the building. There will also be light gauge framing, rebar, and concrete poured for the third level. At the Technology Center, ongoing work includes exterior framing at the upper level as well as interior framing and below-grade waterproofing prep. 

 

May 1

At Stent Family Hall, ongoing work includes the retaining wall rebar, formwork, and concrete pour, as well as exterior framing and window installation mobilization. On the first floor, the epoxy flooring installation in the kitchen has begun and ongoing projects include work on the drywall, electrical lighting, plumbing, and mechanical. There will also be light gauge framing for the third level of the building. At the Technology Center, the roof deck edge and floor layout are ongoing. Please note: the paths between the Dance Studio and the Stent Hall construction site as well as the area between College Counseling and the construction site remain closed.
