The only undefeated team in California, Menlo Mock Trial also won the county and NorCal tournaments. The Mock Trial Team is coached by Tracy Tefertiller (mother of Penelope ’23 and Sadie ’21) and assistant coaches: Ken Fenyo (father of Meredith ’20 and Erica ’23) and Kathy Julian and William Kwong (Caleb ’20 and Maya ’22).

The team will soon head to Georgia for the national competition. San Mateo County has sent only three teams to nationals in 10 years (Menlo and Hillsdale). When Menlo went to nationals in Madison, WI, in 2014, they placed fourth.
