NorCals: Boys’ tennis returns to the finals

Knights defeat Lowell, Amador Valley 

The Menlo boys’ tennis team picked up a pair of victories Friday to pave the way to a return to the CIF-USTA NorCal Championships final at Broadstone Racquet Club in Folsom.
The second-seeded Knights will face a familiar opponent in Bellarmine in a Saturday’s 8:30 a.m. rematch of the Central Coast Section Championship final.
Andrei Volgin won twice at No. 1 singles, as did fellow senior John Kim at No. 2 and freshman Alex Volgin at No, 3 singles. Freshman Mick Tamas and Nishan Rajavasireddy each won a singles match at No. 4. Freshman Rishi Jain and sophomore Justin Tian won at No. 1 doubles and freshmen Rajavasireddy and Soren Sutaria won at No. 2 singles.
