Volleyball sweeps in WBAL matches

Menlo sophomore Hanna Hoffman hits through the block against Mercy-Burlingame on Thursday The Menlo volleyball team defeated Mercy-Burlingame 25-23, 25-17, 25-13 in a WBAL match Thursday at Serra High.
The Knights (4-3 league, 13-7 overall) got 12 kills from sophomore outside Sharon Nejad. Sophomore Hannah Hoffman delivered 21 assists, six kills, seven digs and a pair of aces. Freshman Havannah Hoeft posted nine kills and 12 assists and senior Kaila Ting had five kills and three blocks.
Menlo next plays Sacred Heart Prep at home Tuesday.

10.1.2019 – The Menlo volleyball team defeated visiting Mercy-San Francisco 25-11, 25-14, 25-9 in a West Bay Athletic League match Tuesday.

The Knights (12-7 overall, 3-3 WBAL) bounced back with three league wins after losing their first three. Against the Skippers, sophomore Sharon Nejad and freshman Emma Donley recorded nine kills apiece. Freshman Havannah Hoeft had 20 assists and nine kills. Sophomore Zoe Gregory delivered five consecutive aces in Set 3 to help Menlo wrap up the match.
Menlo next travels to Mercy-Burlingame for a league match at Serra High on Thursday.
