Menlo girls’ tennis took the West Bay Athletic League tennis championships when junior Addie Ahltrom won the singles title and the team of sophomores Brynn Brady and Tricia Zhang took the doubles title in an all-Menlo final Saturday.
Ahlstrom defeated teammate Charlotte Makoni,a freshman 6-0, 6-0, then beat Arya Tumuluri of Notre Dame-Belmont 6-0, 6-1 before sweeping Sacred Heart Prep’s Sara Qiuinlan in the final.
In doubles, Brady and Zhang defeated freshmen Natalie Westermann and Elsie Ragatz 6-3, 6-1. Westermann and Ragatz won all three matches in straight sets before meeting their sophomore teammates for the championship. Zhang and Brady held a first-round bye Friday then defeated their opponents from Sacred Heart Prep and Harker for the title.
