1.11.2020 – Notching its first win of the season, the Menlo girls’ soccer team defeated Urban of San Francisco 1-0 at home Saturday.

The Knights (1-3-4) got a goal from junior Siena Gavin on an assist from senior Sidney Peña in the 66th minute. 

Menlo outshot Urban 14-4 as Gavin led the defense, along with Peña and junior Gabby Kogler in the midfield.  Senior Carly Retterer led the attack and freshman Samantha Sellers picked up the shutout.

1.8.2020 –The Menlo girls’ soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Presentation with one goal in the opening minutes and the other in the closing minutes at home on Wednesday.
The Knights (0-3-4) got a goal from senior Carly Retterer on an assist from sophomore Claire Pickering in the second minute and the Panthers scored on a confusing physical play at the corner of the goalmouth.

Menlo freshman Samantha Sellers and junior Ellie Gruber had standout performances in goal, and junior Siena Gavin led the Knights’ backline.
Menlo next plays Urban at home, noon on Saturday, Jan. 11.
