With one out, Hernandez drove in junior JC Ng, who had walked then stole second and advanced to third on a balk. The Knights (2-1) held a 4-1 lead after senior Sam Weseloh belted a three-run homer in the third inning, and senior Ian Collins recorded an RBI double in the first. The Bruins countered in the seventh, scoring on a couple errors.
Hernandez allowed two hits, walked none, and recorded seven strikeouts in five innings.

2.27.2020 – The Menlo baseball team dropped a 6-1 decision to Sacred Heart Cathedral in a non-league matchup at the University of San Francisco on Thursday. The Knights return to the mound 11:00 am, Saturday against Santa Clara.

The Knights got big contributions from its seniors with Sam Weseloh and Max Chou delivering three-run doubles and Julien Hernandez picking up the win, allowing one hit in three innings and striking out three.
