Volleyball sweeps Valley Christian, M-A

In an early-season rivalry match, the Menlo School volleyball team sailed to a 25-12, 25-9, 25-21 victory at Menlo-Atherton on Thursday.
The Knights (7-1) were paced by junior outside Emma Donley, who had 10 kills on 66.7% hitting and had three blocks. Sophomore Cleo Hardin delivered on all eight of her kill attempts. She added two blocks as did fellow sophomore Logan Wilson. Senior Hanna Hoffman contributed seven kills, 16 assists and 11 digs. Zoe Gregory distributed 18 assists and nine digs while junior outside hitter Brooke Dombkoswki added 12 digs.

Menlo next plays St. Francis at home Tuesday.

8.31.2021 – In their second meeting in four days, Menlo School volleyball defeated host Valley Christian 25-20, 25-13, 25-13 in a non-league matchup on Tuesday.
Knights junior outside hitter Brooke Dombkowski poured in a team-high 14 kills, 19 digs and three aces. Hanna Hoffman added 20 assists and nine kills while junior Emma Donley had seven kills for Menlo. Zoe Gregory contributed 20 assists while fellow seniors Kami Israelski and Alli McKenney each had 15 digs.
Menlo (6-1) returns to play Thursday at Menlo-Atherton at 6:30 pm.

The Menlo JV defeated Valley Christian 25-22, 25-15, and the Knights freshman team lost 2-0.
