Girls’ water polo takes third in WCAL Tournament
The Menlo girls’ water polo team took third place after an 8-7 win over St. Ignatius in the WCAL Tournament on Saturday.
The Knights now face Leland in the CCS Open quarterfinals Saturday.
Junior Malia Chavinson had a pair of goals and an assist. Senior Rusha Bhat added two more goals and made two steals while freshman Vivian Golub scored twice and made a steal. Junior Erica Fenyo and sophomore Kenya Cassidy each had a goal and tallied five steals.
Junior Nyla Sharma posted 11 saves, and senior Alina Hernandez contributed two assists for the Knights.

10.28.2021 – The Menlo girls’ water polo team dropped an 11-7 decision to St. Francis in the WCAL semifinals Thursday at Sacred Heart Prep.
Knights junior Erica Fenyo tallied a hat trick, sophomore Kenya Cassidy picked up three assists and scored one of her own. Junior Malia Chavinson scored twice, and seniors Alina Hernandez added a goal and Rusha Bhat had a pair of assists.
