Beltran is 49ers Cal-Hi Player of Year

The senior quarterback is the all-time CCS record-holder for TD passes in a season
Menlo's Sergio Beltran i the all-time CCS record holder in touchdown passes. and has led his team to a 12-0 mark.

11.17.2021 – Menlo senior quarterback Sergio Beltran has been selected by 49ers Cal-Hi Sports as Central Coast Section Offensive Player of the Year for the fall sports season.

Beltran just interviewed  with the 49ers Cal Hi Sports crew in the NBC Sports Studio at Levi’s® Stadium in Santa Clara this week. The segment will air Sunday night at 6:00 pm.

Beltran has led the Knights  to a 12-0 record, and is coming off a 45-35 victory over San Benito in the CCS Div. II semifinals. He has set CCS all-time record for touchdown passes in a season, and has 51 going into Saturday’s championship against Wilcox. He has thrown for is the team’s leading rusher as well.  

The honored student-athletes will be receiving their awards at 49ers Cal-Hi sports end-of-the-year awards banquet, held in late May at Levi’s® Stadium.

Defensive Player of the Year: Jake Ripp, Los Gatos

Girls Volleyball: Audrey Liddle & Kendra MacDonald, Mitty

Scholar Athlete: Griffen Price, Sacred Heart Prep

 

North Coast Section (NCS) 

Players of the Year: Jaden Rashada, Pittsburg

Offensive Player of the Year: Teddy Booras & Jake Calcagno, California

Defensive Player of the Year: Zeke Berry, De La Salle

Girls Volleyball: Grayce Olson, Foothill

Scholar Athlete: Lindsey Lucas, Miramonte
