Marin Catholic LadyCat Tournament

Third-place game: Menlo 59, Acalanes 45

12.4.2021 –The Menlo girls’ basketball team took third in the LadyCat Classic, defeating Acalanes 59-45 at Marin Catholic on Saturday. 

Menlo (2-1) was led in scoring by senior Sharon Nejad, who scored 14 points. freshman Karen Xin finished with 37 points for the tournament 

The Knights next plays Thursday night at 8:15pm against Terra Nova in the first round game of their annual Jim Soden Holiday Tournament.

In the second round of the winners bracket of the Marin Catholic Tournament, Menlo (1-1) came out cold lost to host Marin Catholic 62-35.

For the second straight game, Menlo’s leading scorer was freshman Karen Xin who scored eight points after scoring 24 the night before.
