Two shutout league wins for boys’ soccer

1.21.2022 – The Menlo boys’ soccer team picked up a 3-0 victory over Woodside Priory in a West Bay Athletic League match at home Friday.,
The Knights (4-3-2, 2-1 WBAL) got a hat trick from senior Daniel Louie, who scored two of his goals in the final five minutes. Louie scored his first goal on a pass from fellow senior Jonah Blaydes-Greenberg midway through the first half. With minutes remaining, he scored the second on a cross from sophomore Andre Gonzales Lombera, who has four assists in two games. His third goal came from a cross by senior Cisco Argueta and Louie scored amid traffic in the final minute. Colin Thomas gets a second shutout win in a row.

1.19. 2022 - The Menlo boys’ soccer team picked up an 8-0 win over visiting Eastside College Prep in a WBAL match Wednesday.
The Knights (1-1 league, 3-3-2) got a hat trick from sophomore Alessandro Velazquez and senior Daniel Louie added two more. Andre Gonzalez Lombera recorded three assists and a goal. Senior Cisco Argueta and sophomore Julian Sheehan added goals, and senior Jonah Blaydes-Greenberg tallied two assists.
Menlo next plays Priory at home Friday.
