Menlo Celebrates Black History Month
In honor of February’s Black History Month, community members are participating in a variety of activities organized by Menlo’s Black Student Union (BSU).
To kick off the celebrations, Colby W. ’23 shared these words on the meaning of Black History, this month and every month:
Festivities include a spoken-word poetry performance, a dance solo, community games, a barbecue fundraiser for Menlo BSU, and a visit to a mobile museum exhibit on Black history. Throughout the month, the national flags of African countries will be displayed around campus and the BSU will host a variety of activities during their meetings.
