Boys’ tennis finalists at National Invitation Tournament

Knights go 3-1 in prestigious invitational in Newport Beach

The Menlo boys’ tennis team played in the National Invitational championship match for the eighth time in school history, falling to University-Irvine 6-3 in the final Saturday.

It was the first loss for the Knights in 13 matches this season, and their first loss since May 18, 2019 in the CCS semifinals. Since then, Menlo has won 28 matches.
Senior Alex Volgin, sophomore Evan Burnett and freshman Cooper Han were named to the all-tournament team.
The Knights (13-1) return to the courts at home against Cupertino on Wednesday.
