New PRs emerge from 2nd WBAL track & field meet
4.6.2022 – The Menlo track and field teams took on the second WBAL meet at Bellarmine on Wednesday, finishing with dozens of PRs, and days later junior William Floyd set a PR, cleating 14 feet in pole vault.

Senior Vikram Seshradi was a double-winner, running the boys’ 110 high hurdles in a personal record 15.95 and the 300 hurdles in 45.73. Sophomore Will Hauser won the 1600 in 4:44.81 and freshman Landon Pretre took first in the 800 in a PR 2:03.23, and both teamed with juniors Aiden Deffner and Justin Pretre for gold in the 4x400 relay in a PR 3:39.60. William Floyd cleared 13 feet, 6 inches to win pole vault. Freshman William Edwards had a PR of 5-0 to win the high jump and senior Evan Kitt took first in triple jump in 34-9.
Geoffrey Franc took second in the boys; 3200 in a PR 13:14.25. Alli McKenney won silver in discus with a mark of 81-2.
Emily Gruber was third in the girls’ 100 in a PR 13.23, and the girls 4x100 relay placed third in 53.69. Ben Tsuda placed third in boys’ 100 in 11.71 and junior Ralston Raphael took bronze in shot put with a throw of 31-10.75.
The boys finished third and the girls sixth.
