8.30.22 – The Menlo girls’ tennis team picked up a 5-1 victory over Monta Vista in their annual Challenge Cup on Tuesday, this time played at Alpine Hills Tennis Club.

The Knights (2-1) got singles wins from sophomore Andra Braicu at No. 1 singles. Senior Natalie Westermann fell in a tiebreaker  and freshman Elise Chen won in straight sets at No. 3. The Knights doubles teams fought to prevail in tiebreakers: senior Sofia Labatt and sophomore Izzy Klugman won at No. 1. Seniors Charlotte Yao and Charlotte Makoni teamed for victory at two singles, and sophomore Kate Hsia and senior Hannah Satuito won at three doubles. 

Menlo next plays host to Los Gatos on Sept. 14.
