Volleyball secures 8th at 32-team Spikefest

Knights beat Santa Clara, Harker
Menlo sophomore Lily Kautai posted 12 aces, 67 assists and 13 kills in 11 sets at Spikefest on Saturday.

9.3.2022 – The Menlo volleyball team took eighth at the 32-team Spikefest on Saturday.
The Knights picked up early wins against Santa Clara 25-17, 25-20 and WBAL foe Harker 25-13, 25-11. They dropped a 25-23, 25-17 loss to Valley Christian, fell in a tight match to Sacred Heart Cathedral 25-20, 20-25, 15-8 and lost 26-24, 25-18 to Notre Dame-Belmont.
For the tournament, sophomore Lily Kautai distributed 67 assists,13 kills and 12 aces. Senior outside Brooke Dombkowski amassed 24 kills and 26 digs. Annie Stent, a senior, recorded 14 kills while freshman Gaby Foster and junior Bella Chen each added 13 kills. Juniors Logan Wilson had seven blocks and Stella Buch added 34 assists.
