Volleyball faces SoCal powers

Menlo's Lily Kautai had 80 assists in the four-game Dave Mohs Invitational in Huntington Beach

9.10.2022 – Menlo volleyball fell in its final two matches of Edison High’s  Dave Mohs Tournament and finished 1-3 after falling to Mater Dei and Palos Verdes on Saturday.
The Knights fell to Mater Dei 25-18, 25-22. Brooke Dombkowski had five digs, two aces and Cleo Hardin tallied eight kills and two aces. Lily Kautai distributed 17 assists, and totaled 80 for the tournament. In a 25-20, 25-15 loss to Palos Vedes, Hardin picked up six kills and had 35 kills for the tournament. Logan Wilson delivered three aces and Annie Stent two more. Liz Leschly posted five digs. Kautai added 14 assists.


Menlo School volleyball split matches on Day One at Huntington Beach High on Friday.
After a loss to Huntington Beach in the morning, Menlo bounced back to defeat JSerra 25-22, 25-20. Menlo junior outside hitter Hardin posted 12 kills, two aces and senior Dombkowski had eight kills, five digs.
Kautai tallied 28 assists, two aces while senior Avery Herrod picked up four digs. Juniors Logan Wilson & Bella Chen came up with 2 blocks each
Menlo fell to Huntington Beach 25-17, 25-17. Hardin posted nine kills while Kautai dished out 21 assists and two aces;. Senior Annie Stent delivered four kills.
