Boys’ water polo beats St. Francis

Cormac Mulloy paced the Knights' victory

9.14.2022 – Menlo School boys’ water polo overcame a three-goal deficit early, and following some tactical changes, Menlo held St. Francis to just three goals in as many quarters Wednesday,

Led by junior goalie Cormac Mulloy with 13 saves and 2 assists, senior Tommy Kiesling added 3 steals and seniors Ethan Babel and Michael Fang each had 2 assists.

“The real key for us was a focus on our team defense transitioning to offense,” Babel said. “Initially, we didn’t seem to attack as a team as it was much more individual-based. Once we went back to our team-focused attack, that’s when the positive changes started to happen.”

Menlo is off this weekend and resumes league play next Wednesday at Menlo School as they take on St. Ignatius.
