Football in narrow loss to Amador Valley

Knights move to 3-2; Aragon next
Menlo senior Charlie King scored the Knights' touchdown on a 45-yard pass in the second quarter

10.1.2022 – The Menlo football team dropped a 14-6 decision to Amador Valley in a non-league match-up in Pleasanton on Saturday night.
The Knights move to 3-2, and will play host to Aragon and Half Moon Bay the next two weeks.
All of the socring took place in the first half: The Dons (4-1) got on the scoreboard early after senior running back Miles Tucker ran it in from a couple yards out in the first quarter.
Menlo countered when senior Charlie King reeled in a 45-yard catch from fellow senior Jake Bianchi, and the Knights trailed 7-6 with 4:54 left in the first half.
The Dons would score again with Nate Jetter taking a 6-yard pass from Ryan Cannon with 4:54 left in the second quarter.
