Volleyball splits WBAL matches

Knights top Mercy in 5; fall to SHP
Menlo senior Brooke Dombkowski had 50 kills in nine sets this week.

10.13.2022 –The Menlo Knights volleyball team held off Mercy-Burlingame to take a WBAL match 10-25, 25-19, 27-25, 23-25, 15-8 on Thursday at Serra.
With the win, Menlo moves to 12-14 overall. The Knights now hold matching records with Mercy-Burlingame and Notre Dame-Belmont at 4-3 with NDB holding a set advantage of 16-11. SHP remains at the top of WBAl with a 6-0 mark.
Against Mercy, senior Brooke Dombkowski recorded 32 kills and 13 digs. Sophomore Lily Kautai posted 67 assists, 2 aces while senior added 15 kills.
Junior Liv Leschly tallied 13 digs while senior Avery Herrod had 11 digs and two aces.
Juniors Bella Chen had three blocks and Logan Wilson eight kills

Sacred Heart Prep 3, Menlo 1

10.11.2022 – The Menlo volleyball team dropped a 23-25, 25-20, 25-21, 26-24 decision to visiting Sacred Heart Prep in WBAL Tuesday.
The Knights move to 11-14 overall, 3-3 league, and will play Mercy-Burlingame on Thursday at Serra.
On Tuesday, senior Brooke Dombkowski paced the attack with 18 kills and sophomore Lily Kautai delivered 46 assists. Junior Liv Leschly had 21 digs while junior Bella Chen had three blocks and senior Avery Herrod tallied three aces.
