Girls’ water polo 2-2 at NorCal Invitational

Knights close with win over Leland

The Menlo girls’ water polo team went 2-2 at the NorCal Invitational, closing with a 13-11 victory over Leland on Saturday.
The Knights (16-7 overall) play in the WCAL Tournament next, starting Tuesday,
Miramonte defeated Soquel in the final of the NorCal Invitational, which took place at Sacred Heart Prep and Gunn. For the Knights, senior Erica Fenyo finished with a team-high 18 goals. Junior Kenya Cassidy had 10 and sophomore Sofia Flierl posted eight and had eight assists. Senior Nyla Sharma finished with 26 saves and Scarlett Gamble had six assists.
