WCAL: Boys’ water polo wraps up third

Knights rebound from loss to top St, Francis
Menlo's Teddy Meeks made three steals, and added a goal and two assists in Saturday's win over St. Francis

10.29.2022 – The Menlo boys’ water polo team took third in the WCAL Tournament, wrapping up the final round with a 9-6 victory at St. Francis on Saturday. 

Menlo jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back. Knights senior Tommy Kiesling led the defense with four steals and had a hat trick. Teddy Meeks had three steals, a goal and two assists. Jackson Kay and Ethan Babel also each assisted on two goals.

With the win, Menlo is expected to earn the No 3-seed in the Open Division, to be finalized at Tuesday’s CCS seeding meeting.

Junior Cormac Mulloy was strong in the goal with 11 saves, an assist and a steal for the Knights (17-9).
