CCS: Girls’ tennis sweeps in Round of 16

Menlo's Natalie Westermann won 6-0, 6-0 at No.3 singles against Lynbrook

11.10.22 –The Menlo girls’ tennis team returned to the court a week after its last match then cruised to a 7-0 Round of 16 victory over Lynbrook at home Thursday.
The No.4-seeded Knights (20-5) now will play host to No. 5 Los Altos (20-4) in Friday’s quarterfinals. The Eagles defeated Crystal 6-1 to advance.
On Thursday, Menlo’s top seed Andra Braicu, a sophomore, won in straight sets. Freshman Elise Chen won a third-set tiebreaker 11-9 to take No. 2 singles. Seniors Natalie Westermann and Charlotte Yao sailed to victories at Nos. 3 and 4 singles.
Senior Sofia Labatt and sophomore Izzy Klugman picked up a win at No. 1 doubles, Charlotte Makoni and Hannah Satuito - both seniors - and the duo of senior Ellie Hardegree and sophomore Kate Hsia won in straight sets at Nos 2 and 3 doubles.
