Boys’ basketball climbs back, falls to M-A 53-51

Menlo sophomore Tate Cohen had eight points, eight rebounds against Menlo-Atherton

12.22.2022 – With a final-quarter rally, the Menlo boys’ basketball climbed back from a 10-point deficit but lost a 53-51 decision to host Menlo-Atherton on Thursday.
Knights senior Lucas Vogel had 14 of his game-high 16 points in the fourth as Menlo took the game to the wire. Trailing by 10 at the the end of the third quarter, the Knights closed the gap 48-44 with 3:54 to go. M-A led by three with 50 seconds left, was fouled, and held on for the victory. 

Sophomore Tate Cohen added eight points and five rebounds, and junior Sam Reznik scored seven points. Senior Will Eggemeier picked up  five points and three rebounds 

Ben Eisner and Jalen Williams, both juniors, each scored 13 points.
