Boys’ lacrosse downs Serra
Scacco nets 2 goals, 2 assists
The Menlo boys’ lacrosse team defeated host Serra 10-4 in a West Catholic Athletic League victory Thursday.
The Knights improved to 2-0 league, 2-2 overall, and play host to Tamalpais on Saturday at 10:00 am.
Against Serra, the teams tied 0-0 after a quarter then Menlo started the scoring on Ethan Friesel’s goal in the first 2 minutes of the second quarter.. The Padres knotted the score again, before the Knights went on a 4-0 run to lead 5-1 at halftime.
Freshman Benjamin Chock made 17 saves for Menlo.
Nicky Scacco finished with two goals and two assists; Bradford Tudor scored twice and assisted on another. Ari Krane added two goals. James Wernikoff and Ethan Friesel each had a goal and assist.
