Menlo Dancers Shine on the Spieker Stage

Knight at the Movies Dance Concert celebrates cinema and choreography

More than 100 Upper and Middle School students took to the stage at the Spieker Center for the Performing Arts and delighted a full house with routines inspired by popular movies such Black Panther, Top Gun: Maverick, La La Land, Singing in the Rain, and more. Menlo’s dance faculty and the event’s artistic directors Angela Curotto-Pierson ’07, Dominique Serapio, and Bibi Kahlili ’01 developed many of the routines in collaboration with the dancers, and several performances were entirely choreographed by the students themselves.

“What a fantastic weekend! We are so proud of the hard work and dedication our dancers left on that stage,” said Curotto-Pierson. “I left after the final performance on Sunday feeling overwhelmed with emotions. We are so lucky to work with this talented and supportive community of people.”
