Boys’ tennis headed to CCS Championships

Top seed Knights sweep Saratoga

5.11.2023 – The Menlo School boys’ tennis team will defend its title at the CCS Championship after a 7-0 victory over Saratoga in Thursday’s semifinal at Bay Club-Courtside.
The top-seeded Knights (21-1) plays No.2 seed Cupertino (19-1) at 1:00 pm Friday back at the Bay Club-Courtside.
On Thursday, junior Evan Burnett defeated Somai Ogata 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 1 spot. Sophomore Cooper Han also won in straight sets 6-0, 6-2 against Nikhil Sriuasta at No.2 Freshman Yuanye Ma defeated Johan Amirinenci 6-2, 6-2 and sophomore Leo Terman defeated Alex Lu 7-6 (1), 6-3.
The doubles teams swept in straight sets: senior Nikhil Agarwal and freshman Arki Temsamani won 6-3, 7-6, juniors Nikhil Kothari and Sam Engel took No.2 and sophomores Ben Levin and Kavan Kumar won at No. 3.
