The 146 members of Menlo School’s Class of 2024 received their diplomas on Thursday, June 6, during a ceremony on the School’s campus in front of the historic Stent Family Hall. Menlo English teacher and department chairDr. Rachel Blumenthaloffered a “Charge to the Senior Class,” and Upper School Director John Schafer gave a humorous and heartwarming send-off to our grads. Graduating seniors Paige Miller and Jackson Deutch, both of Atherton, offered remarks from the student perspective. Menlo’s choral and instrumental music program performed “Yellow” by Coldplay, and senior soloist, Ana Banchs Rodríguez performed a moving rendition of “Slow Down” by Laufey. Watch video here.

On June 4, we also celebrated the Eighth Grade Promotion, during which 76 students were promoted to high school. Teachers paid tribute to each student, and remarks were offered by Head of School Than Healy, Middle School Director La Vina Lowery, and students Hadi Hilaly, Wanis Moutri, and Naina Nimaiyar. Members of the Middle School chorus performed “Long Live” by Taylor Swift, and the faculty steel pan band, the PANtastics, closed the ceremony. Watch video here.
