Rock climbing in Joshua Tree during Knight School

During the five days of Knight School each year, regular classes are suspended and students take–and teach–classes that go beyond the usual academic disciplines. Along with courses that take place on campus or in the local area, overnight travel courses offer opportunities to engage with the wider world.

Knight School has two interrelated and primary purposes: to find new ways to foster joy in learning and engagement and to honor student interest and initiative by providing experiences and opportunities that may not routinely exist in the Menlo School curricula. While all Knight School courses engage the intellect, they may also address the hand and the heart, the physical and empathic dimensions of human experience.

This year’s Knight School runs April 7-11. Check out the many courses offered this year here.
