In this year’s All Solo Title Scholarship competition, Brandon Rabaria ’15 won the title of Mr. Dance of Northern California 2014, and Jessica Fry ’15 joined him as Miss Dance of Northern California 2014.

Brandon performed a lyrical solo to “No Bravery,” and Jessica’s winning number was set to “Bring Him Home.” In addition to their solos, both went through an interview process and were evaluated in four different styles of dance: ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics. The two stars will now compete for national titles at the Dance Masters of America Solo competition in Orlando, Florida in July.

Both Brandon and Jessica are on the Menlo Knight Dancers team and have danced in the Menlo dance concerts since the sixth grade. They are also both students at Bay Area Dance School. Last summer, Jessica studied at the Julliard School, while Brandon studied at the Nutmeg Conservatory of the Arts in Connecticut.
