6th Grade English (December-June)

University of Virginia, Bachelor of Arts in English Literature

University of Virginia, Master’s of Teaching in Elementary Education K-6

I attended Menlo for middle school and Woodside Priory for high school. I am a triplet and have five siblings, all of whom attended Menlo 6th-12th grade.

I earned a bachelor’s in English literature and a master’s of teaching from the University of Virginia. Upon graduating, I returned home to the Bay Area to teach second grade at St. Raymond School in Menlo Park. After teaching second grade for three years, I taught first grade at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Redwood City. I led both the St. Raymond and Mount Carmel Academic Decathlon English teams for the 7th and 8th grade students.

I am passionate about teaching writing, and I am excited to inspire a love of reading and writing in my students. It is wonderful to be back at Menlo, where several of my former teachers, Katie Barad, Liz Bongiorno, Joe McDonald, Courtney Chandler, are now my colleagues.

My husband and I met in our second year of college at UVA. We enjoy playing tennis, running, skiing, cooking vegetarian/vegan meals, and walking our dogs.
