I have sung as a soloist at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and sung with the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Opera (Chorus), Aspen Music Festival, Aspen Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Reno Chamber Orchestra, Mountain Play, Pocket Opera, Opera Las Vegas, San Mateo Masterworks Chorale, and the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. I have two recordings of vocal music, Phillip Harris in Recital, and an original EP, In My Philz,. I also wrote a book about my mentor, Jacqueline Hairston, Songs and Spirituals The Life and Music of Jacqueline Hairston.

I am on the voice faculty of the pre-college division at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and an adjunct instructor at West Valley College. I previously taught at Head-Royce School and Stuart Hall for Boys. I recently won the SF Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle award as a music director. I have music or vocal directed musicals, A Chorus Line, Shrek, Legally Blonde, Bring it On, Fiddler on the Roof, The Addams Family, and Head Over Heels.

I’ve presented recitals, masterclasses, or lectures at Peabody Institute, Westminster Choir College, UCI, UCSB, Alabama State University, San Francisco City College, and Los Medanos College. I am proud to serve as the Co-Vice President of Student Auditions for the SF Bay Area Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and as an artistic advisor for the African American Art Song Alliance.

My free time is devoted to playing or watching basketball, swimming, hanging out with friends, watching reality TV shows, and spending time with my new niece.
