Biography

I joined Menlo’s faculty in 2009 and the fun hasn’t stopped since! I’ve taught all four grades of Menlo English, served as a class dean, chaired the department, and even coached swimming. I love working in an environment that allows for growth and change.

My love for independent schools stems from my experience as a student at Phillips Academy, Andover in Massachusetts. After attending Andover, I received my BA in English Studies and Composition from Amherst College. In 2014, I also earned my Master’s Degree in English Literature from the Bread Loaf School at Middlebury College. Prior to coming to Menlo, I taught for Andover and Crystal Springs Uplands School.

My heart and soul are bi-coastal: I grew up in Boston, but consider the coast of Maine and the Bay Area my true homes. Outside of school you can find me open water swimming, strolling around farmers’ markets, and mostly hanging out with my crew of dudes: Sean (husband), Finn (human son), and Lincoln (ultimate good boy fur baby).
