Departments and Positions
Upper School Mathematics
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bachelor of Science
Stanford University, Master of Arts
I joined Menlo’s faculty in the fall of 2002 and since then have been teaching a variety of Upper School Mathematics Classes. I also coach the middle school’s MathCounts team.
After receiving a BS in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, I moved to California and began teaching at a private school in the South Bay. After three years of teaching, I went to Stanford and earned an MA in Curriculum and Teacher Education. From Stanford, I moved to Menlo.
In addition to enjoying the energy and intellectual stimulation that comes from doing math with adolescents, at home, I enjoy the ups and downs of being a mother to two girls, ages 7 and 10. I am constantly amazed at the joy and laughter that comes from parenthood. In my limited free time, I enjoy baking up a storm, taking tennis lessons, reading, and enjoying the beautiful California outdoors as much as I can.
